Washington, D.C.  – The countdown has begun.

In just 10 days, Solar Power International 2013 (SPI ‘13), North America’s premier business-to-business event for professionals in solar energy, will provide a platform for discussing a wide variety of trends, new product introductions and critically important issues.

This year, the show takes place from October 21 to 24 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, and it’s expected to draw 12,000 of the industry’s most influential professionals, policymakers and organizations.  Event details and attendee registration information is available at solarpowerinternational.com.

Even though America’s solar energy industry is poised to hit the 10 GW milestone in the U.S. before the end of 2013, we find ourselves facing a wide range of issues at both the federal and state levels.  Key topics such as state Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS), commence construction, Net Energy Metering (NEM), the solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC), managing solar on the distribution grid, and much more will be addressed in SPI’s general sessions and comprehensive conference program.

Here are some of the sessions you shouldn’t miss:

SPI brings the full range of industry ideas, experts, professionals and information together in one comprehensive event featuring keynote addresses, sessions and conference events, as well as nearly 700 exhibitors occupying 200,000 square feet of exhibit space. Through peer-led educational programming designed to exchange ideas and share “lessons learned,” SPI provides attendees best practices to expand and help grow their businesses.

Throughout the week, SPI also offers unique networking opportunities for attendees to connect with industry vendors and professionals from the U.S. and around the world.  SPI ‘13 is once again co-hosted by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA).
