Rhone Resch - President and Chief Executive Officer

Rhone Resch is the President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). At SEIA, Rhone is responsible for all aspects of the association's operations and implementation of the industry’s strategic priorities. SEIA’s recent legislative successes include the 8-year extension and expansion of the investment tax credits for solar, creation of the DOE grant program and expansion of the loan guarantee program for renewable energy. He has over 15 years of experience in the public and private sector working in clean energy development and climate change issues. Rhone served as Program Manager at the EPA's Climate Protection Division during the Clinton administration, and has also supported the U.S. Department of Energy's Environmental Management Program.

He holds an MPA in Management from Syracuse University's Maxwell School, a Master of Environmental Engineering from SUNY Syracuse, and a B.A. from the University of Michigan. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Lisa and two children.

John Stanton - Executive Vice-President and General Counsel

John is responsible for legal and government affairs at SEIA. He staffs the government affairs committee which develops and executes policy campaigns on taxation, appropriations, energy and climate issues dominated by congressional and executive branch lobbying, grassroots outreach and media strategies. Formerly Vice President for Energy, Climate and Transportation Programs at the National Environmental Trust, John is a registered lobbyist and previously served as Legislative Counsel at the US Environmental Protection Agency and New Jersey Deputy Attorney General. John also served as Counsel and Director of the Energy and Environment Committee at the National Conference of State Legislatures. He earned his B.A. from Tulane University, J.D. from Georgetown University Law School, clerked for Judge Edward Beglin and is a Member of the New Jersey and District of Columbia Bar Associations.

John resides in Chevy Chase with his family where his other passions include running, golfing, camping, food and wine.

Suzanne Farris - Board Liaison and SEIA PAC Manager

Suzanne came on board in May 2008 to support the President of SEIA and is responsible for a wide range of duties, including working directly with the Board of Directors, interfacing with Members of Congress, helping to establish policies and procedures regarding the Association’s operations and recruiting functions, and generally helping the management team with project management.  She also handles administration of the SEIA Political Action Committee.  Prior to coming to SEIA, Suzanne worked in a variety of industries including finance, IT, consulting, legal and healthcare. 

Suzanne enjoys traveling, is an avid fan of the DC sports teams and is on a never-ending quest to keep her +100 year old Capitol Hill row house upright.

Colleen Cruikshank - Office Manager

Colleen is SEIA's office manager. She coordinates all vendor relationships and internal administrative needs, and ensures that SEIA's busy office runs smoothly. Before SEIA, she provided administrative support for the Energy Regulatory & Markets Group at Latham & Watkins. She received her B.A. in Sociology from St. Mary's College of Maryland.

Colleen lives on Capitol Hill and enjoys cooking, playing the guitar, reading, needlepoint and yoga.

Carrie Winslow - Assistant to Executive Vice-President

Carrie Winslow provides administrative support to the Executive Vice-President and ensures efficient communication within Government Affairs. Prior to joining SEIA, Carrie worked as an intern at the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights and on Capitol Hill. Carrie earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies of Communication, Legal Institutions, Economics and Government from American University.
In her spare time, Carrie enjoys swimming, baking, dancing and all things French.
