(3.4.10) Manufacturing Tax Credit Awards by State

(8.13.09) The Department of Treasury and Department of Energy announced $2.3 billion in ARRA tax credits for renewable energy manufacturers.  For more information, see http://www.energy.gov/recovery/48C.htm and http://www.ustreas.gov/recovery/.

(7.31.09) The Department of Treasury is now accepting applications for the Treasury Grant Program.  Learn more on how to apply to the grant program.

(7.29.09) The Department of Energy issued two solicitations to section 1705 of the Loan Guarantee Program.  The first solicitation is The Innovative Technologies Solicitation.  The second solicitation is The Commercial Transmission Projects Solicitation.

(7.15.09) The Clean Energy Associations sent a letter to the Office of Management and Budget and the Department of Energy regarding the Loan Guarantee Program.

(7.9.09)-The Department of Treasury released a guidance document on the Treasury Grant Program.  Terms and conditions and a sample application form were also released. 

(5.6.09) - SEIA has submitted recommendations to the Obama administration on implementation of the solar provisions in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  You can view SEIA's letter to the President and implementation recommendations here.

President Obama signed the Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law on February 17.  Top solar provisions that are included in this bill are:

1) The creation of a Department of Treasury Grant Program 2) Improvement to the investment tax credit by eliminating ITC penalties for subsidized energy financing 3) A new DOE Loan Guarantee Program 4) Create tax incentives for manufacturing by offering accelerated depreciation and a 30 percent refundable tax credit for the purchase of manufacturing equipment used to produce solar material and components for all solar technologies.
