Membership Divisions
SEIA recognizes and champions all facets of the solar industry, whether you are an installer or a manufacturer or a financier. SEIA's divisions ensure that all of our members' interests are represented at the board level. Each member is entitled to membership in one division that best represents their legitimate business interests.
Utility-Scale Solar Power
The Utility-Scale Solar Power division includes both concentrating thermal and concentrating photovoltaic (CPV) projects. Technologies include trough, power tower, compact linear Fresnel and dish systems which concentrate the thermal energy of the sun to drive a conventional steam turbine. CSP/CPV projects often generate hundreds of megawatts of electricity, making them attractive as wholesale energy suppliers to utilities. The Utility-Scale Solar Power division serves those companies which develop CSP projects or manufacture, sell or install equipment for use in such projects.
Photovoltaic (PV)
This division serves those corporations, partnerships, cooperatives and other business entities whose primary activity is to manufacture, market, sell and install photovoltaic systems, inverters and related equipment and components.
Solar Thermal (ST)
Solar thermal encompasses solar water heating, solar space heating and cooling and solar pool heating. The Solar Thermal division includes those companies whose primary activity is to manufacture, market, sell or install solar thermal systems and related equipment.
Solar Services and Consumers
This division is for organizations that are not eligible for the other technology specific membership divisions, but wish to support the mission of the association. The Solar Services and Consumers Division includes project developers, law firms, financiers, utilities, and other organizations that support the solar industry.
