State Policy Update  (Carrie)

  • Many commissions are trying to get some things done before the end of their term

  • MA - Net Metering legislation filed - will want customer examples, solar success stories for press outreach

    • need western, south eastern positive stories (solar company went bust)

  • NY - Shared solar bill; long-term plan for net metering

  • NC - Bad talk on rates, value of solar. in next 4-6 weeks, spread good news

  • OH - Anti RPS movement still working

  • CO - good showing at net metering public meeting

  • Message that solar doesn’t benefit low-medium income customers is prevalent. need more stories to combat this message; CAP research useful. need examples - solar on apartment buildings, jobs for everyone
