This webinar, hosted by the Department of Energy's SunShot program on February 26, 2013 at 1P p.m. ET, presents an update to the recent Berkeley Lab study, "Why Are Residential PV Prices in Germany So Much Lower Than in the United States?" The updated analysis is publicly available as a PowerPoint briefing and can be downloaded here (PDF).
The wide disparity between the installed price of customer-owned residential PV systems in Germany and the United States has been well documented and is associated primarly with differences in "soft" costs (or business process costs). The updated study includes revised estimates of installation labor requirements for residential PV systems in Germany, based on a second survey of German installers, and also includes an expanded summary of key insights for policymakers.
Space at the webinar is limited. Reserve your Webinar seat now. A recording of the webinar will also be made available for those who cannot attend live, and will be posted on the same webpage as the PowerPoint briefing.
