This event is open to all stakeholders with an interest in the development of secure microgrids, ranging from policy and regulatory bodies, to equipment vendors, to those tasked with the development of standards and specifications, and to the utilities that will be interconnecting with these microgrids.
Federal law, policy and programs have played a substantial role in bringing remarkable success to utility-scale solar, and will continue to play a significant role in the years to come. At this in-person meeting of the Utility-Scale Solar Power Division, attendees will hear from a wide range of Executive and Congressional branch officials, as well as SEIA staff, about issues of importance to the Division. We anticipate speakers from the Department of Energy, the Department of the Interior, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Council on Environmental Quality and Congressional staff. This meeting will also provide SEIA members the opportunity to network with SEIA members and others in the solar industry.
The Massachusetts SREC I program has been critical for driving the state’s massive solar growth. However, since SREC I reached its initial cap, regulatory uncertainty has loomed as the industry awaits the promulgation of the solar carve-out’s next iteration, SREC II. With SREC II nearly finalized, join SEIA, Sol Systems, and the Massachusetts DOER as they discuss SREC II’s regulatory framework, the fate of SREC I participants, and adjustments to project economics and SREC pricing.
