Governor Deval Patrick on Wednesday visited the Westford Solar Park to officially flip the switch on the state's largest privately owned solar facility. The 4.5-megawatt facility sits on 22 acres and has more than 14,000 solar panels. The University of Massachusetts Lowell is a recipient of the park's power. During his visit to Westford, the governor was presented with a Solar Champion Award from the Solar Energies Industry Association for his strong support of solar energy in the Commonwealth.
