Sunrun Plans Denver Hub With 800 Jobs

Sunrun Inc., the second-biggest installer of residential solar power panels in Colorado, will get a whole lot bigger in the next few years with the creation of a national corporate office in downtown Denver that will be home to up to 800 jobs. Lynn Jurich, CEO of San Francisco-based Sunrun, said the company was swayed by Denver’s wealth of tech talent and the state’s support of alternative energy resources. She also cited Colorado’s support for solar via the net-metering policy, which allows home customers to get a credit on their monthly electricity bills for solar power generated by panels on their roofs.
