Clean Power Finance Inc. completed its merger with fellow Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers-backed solar financing company Kilowatt Financial LLC in a bid to simplify the borrowing process for consumers seeking to make their homes more energy efficient. The merged company, Spruce Finance Inc., offers financing for residential solar, water-conservation upgrades and energy efficiency systems, according to a statement. Clean Power and Kilowatt announced plans to merge in July and originally expected to call the new company Elevate Energy. Joining forces expands their reach and means consumers have access to more financing options from a single lender.
