On April 25th, 2012, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has inaugurated a new 4.5 megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) array in Westford, Mass.

The PV project, which features 14,000 solar panels, is a collaboration between Cathartes Private Investments (Boston, Mass.), Nexamp Inc. (Boston, Mass.) and National Grid. The PV plant situated near Route 3 in Westford, will provide power to the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
