PV systems integrator Phoenix Solar is partnering with turnkey solar solutions provider, Millennium Energy Industries to build three power plants in Jordan totalling 11MWp. Said to be the largest single PV project in Jordan for the private sector, the projects are for Arab International Hotels that will provide several hotels with the capability to generate 100% the electricity needs from solar energy. The three ground mounted PV plants will use BYD polycrystalline modules, with single-axis tracking systems and string inverters from SMA Solar Technology, with the plants built in the Mwaqqar and Damikhi / Qatraneh area and connecting to the Jordan Electric Power and Electric Distribution grids, respectively.
