SEIA Applauds U.S. Commitment to Green Climate Fund

WASHINGTON, DC - Calling it a positive step forward in clean energy and international relations, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) today applauded the decision by the United States to pledge $3 billion to the Green Climate Fund.

“This fund will help U.S. businesses, including solar companies, pursue projects in developing nations. U.S. participation represents an opportunity to bring new technologies and innovations to these nations, help the global environment and expand the development of clean, renewable energy worldwide,” said Rhone Resch, president and CEO of SEIA. “We applaud the Obama Administration’s commitment to addressing climate change and are proud of the solar industry’s ongoing contributions towards improving our environment.”
