A company that's focused on expanding solar energy in the Southern Tier celebrated its own expansion Wednesday. Renovus Solar held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newly renovated facility on Trumansburg Road in Ithaca. The company designs and installs renewable energy systems for homes and businesses throughout Central New York. Renovus says it has added more than 50 new jobs over the past year and expects further growth, with the addition of projects like its community Solar Farm, for one example.

With projected savings in some cases as high as $1.5 million, a new cost-saving report released today by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) demonstrates the many benefits achieved by utilizing innovative solar and heating cooling (SHC) systems on U.S. businesses and commercial buildings.
