Energy Matters

Dunsfold Park in Surrey, home to the BBC's 'Top Gear' test track, last month became the first business park in the UK to be fed entirely by green energy.

8,500 solar panels have been installed at Dunsfold Aerodrome. With a capacity of two megawatts; the ground mount solar farm generates enough electricity to supply approximately 670 households.

Electricity generated during working hours is used by businesses at Dunsfold Park and on weekends and in times of optimum conditions; surplus solar electricity is exported to the mains grid.
