Vice President of Executive Affairs
As Vice President of Executive Affairs, Tom oversees the departments of Executive Affairs and Research. He also provides legal services to SEIA as General Council. Vice President of State Affairs
Sean Gallagher is SEIA’s Vice President of State Affairs where he oversees SEIA’s legislative, regulatory, and policy development work in states nationwide. Justin Baca leads the development and implementation of SEIA's research agenda in coordination with the Government Affairs department, Communications department and Market Research Committee. Since joining SEIA in July 2008, he has lead the production of SEIA's annual report on the state of the solar industry, the U.S. Solar Industry Year in Review, and managed several major policy analysis projects. Andrew Savage is the Chief Strategy Officer at AllEarthRenewables, manufacturer of the AllEarth Solar Tracker, where he oversees public affairs, communications, and strategic business development initiatives. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA) as the vice chair of the Distributed Generation Division. Previously, Andrew was deputy chief of staff and legislative director for Vermont Congressman Peter Welch, a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee. He was also part of President Barack Obama’s successful 2008 presidential primary campaign team. Andrew received his bachelor’s degree in political science and environmental studies from Middlebury College graduatingsumma cum laude where he was also a Division I nordic skier. Full bio>>
Chief Executive Officer, Standard Solar
Board Member, SEIA
Since 2007 Mr. Clifford has led Standard Solar’s rapid growth into a nationally known PV developer/ EPC. Mr. Clifford began his career at Solarex Corporation, later acquired by British Petroleum and known as BP Solar. Throughout his career, Mr. Clifford has served as chief executive officer or chief financial officer of three high growth technology companies that were acquired by major corporations. He is an elected board member of the national Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), serves on SEIA’s Executive Committee and also served as the president of the regional chapter of SEIA, MDV-SEIA from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Clifford is the author of a DOE report entitled Tax-Advantaged Investments in Renewable Energy Projects; and received a “Special Achievement Award for Technology Demonstration” from the U. S. Secretary of Energy. He was awarded the 2011 Industry Leader Award by the Maryland Clean Energy Center (MCEC), for his contributions to the advancement of solar and other clean energy resources in the state. Mr. Clifford earned his MBA at University of Virginia’s Darden School and his undergraduate degree at Penn State.
Chair, Solar Heating and Cooling Alliance
Mike Healy helped start Skyline Innovations, a finance and development company focused on solar water heating systems. Mike leads the companies market development efforts, including new business development and government affairs. Mike also Chairs the Solar Heating and Cooling Alliance and serves on the Board of Directors of the Solar Energy Industries Associations (SEIA).
Arno, CEO of Recurrent Energy, took up the mantle of Board Chair on June 13th, 2012. With 10 years in the solar industry, Arno has built successful businesses in rooftop solar sales and installation, solar technology development, project finance, and utility scale project development. Full bio>>
Founder & CEO, Ideal Energy
Troy’s diverse background includes nine years in the U.S Navy SEALs as a Special Forces medic, and personal security details in hostile environments, such as the Middle East and Africa. After years of heart-pumping, high-profile work, Troy’s path of action led him to explore alternatives to creating global security. Troy’s inquiries into the depths of our pressing socioeconomic and environmental challenges brought him to Maharishi University of Management, where he earned a degree in Sustainability.
Troy has followed his passion for creating self-sufficiency through community involvement. After a year of serving as a member of the Go Green Commission for Fairfield, Iowa, where he participated in creating a comprehensive sustainability plan for the City, Troy founded Ideal Energy, Inc to begin helping the city to fulfill the steps outline in the plan. Although Ideal Energy’s clientele has broadened to a national level, Troy remains dedicated to implementing renewable energy solutions in his hometown of Fairfield, Iowa.
