Tucson Solar Firm Makes Push into Japan

Tucson-based Global Solar Energy Inc. is taking its flexible solar-panel technology into Japan’s growing solar market, taking advantage of a new government incentive program.

Global Solar has set up partnerships with three Japanese firms, CBC Co. Ltd, Eco Holdings and OG Corp., to market its PowerFLEX building-integrated photovoltaic system in Japan, with a version adapted specifically for use on Japan’s typically compact rooftops.
