SunPower Selected To Deliver 22 Megawatts Of Solar Power Systems At 27 Sites For California School District
The Kern High School District (KHSD) and SunPower Corp. announced an agreement to design and build 22 megawatts of solar power systems at 27 district sites. Construction will begin on the solar power systems this summer.
SolarCity is starting to build its Buffalo workforce. The solar energy systems installer, which is building a Buffalo factory that ultimately is expected to employ 1,460 people once it’s running at full capacity in 2017, has hired its first three local employees as it builds the system to hire a local workforce.

SEIA and COSEIA Applaud Colorado Public Utilities Commission Decision Expanding Solar*Rewards Program
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA) today applauded a decision by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to increase the 2013 capacity of Xcel Energy’s popular Solar*Rewards program for small-sized solar installations throughout the state. In April, SEIA, the COSEIA, and Xcel Energy jointly proposed this capacity increase in order to avoid possible disruption to the successful program.
