Senators Cantwell, Ensign introduce Clean Energy Tax Stimulus Act of 2008
Senator Cantwell (D-WA) has led a behind-the-scenes effort, working with Senator Ensign (R-NV), and she needs our help. Yesterday, Senators Cantwell and Ensign introduced S. 2821 the Clean Energy Stimulus Act of 2008. We need to get 61 cosponsors on the bill by COB Monday, April 7.
If your Senator is NOT a cosponsor, please call your U.S. Senator now at the DC office and ask them to cosponsor S. 2821, the Clean Energy Tax Stimulus Act of 2008.
To locate your Senators’ Washington phone number, go to http://www.congress.org/congressorg/directory/congdir.ttt and type in your company’s zip code. Alternatively, you can reach your Senators’ offices through the Capitol Switchboard at 202-225-3121. Convey the following points to your Senator: - I work for (name of company) in your state (describe the company).
- The solar investment tax credits are critical to our company's business and must be extended this year to prevent a slowdown in solar development and job creation.
- The solar tax credits would decrease energy costs, increase energy independence, and create more jobs in your state.
- Please do what is right for your constituents and for the country.
- We need you to cosponsor S.2821, the Clean Energy Stimulus Act of 2008 introduced by Senators Cantwell and Ensign
