Ken Johnson serves as Vice President of Communications. In that capacity, he oversees all of SEIA’s communications and marketing efforts.
Ken is a Capitol Hill veteran who headed up communications efforts for the House Energy and Commerce Committee and House Select Committee on Homeland Security, and later spent six years as senior vice president for the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).
Prior to coming to Washington, Ken was an award-winning TV anchor and reporter in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Cincinnati. He also served as news director for the Louisiana Public Broadcasting Network.
An avid horseman who owns a working farm in Illinois, Ken graduated from Knox College with a degree in political science and later received an MS from the College of St. Francis. He has no children, but is quick to point out that he’s raised more than 100 horses!
