REPORT: Corporate Solar Adoption Soars, Accounts for 14% of U.S. Solar Market

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Led by tech and retail giants, American companies are installing record-levels of solar to power their operations and now account for 14% of all installed solar capacity in the United States, according to the Solar Means Business 2022 report released today by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). The report, which tracks and analyzes commercial solar adoption, named Meta, Amazon, Apple, Walmart and Microsoft as the top five corporate solar users in America.

Solar Companies Unite to Prevent Forced Labor in the Solar Supply Chain

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today 175 solar companies, including some of the top solar manufacturers in the world, are announcing that they have signed a pledge opposing forced labor in the solar supply chain. By signing the pledge, companies are stating their commitment to help prevent these abhorrent practices and ensure that the products they are using do not have links to forced labor in the Xinjiang region of China, or anywhere else in the world.

Report: U.S. Corporate Solar Investments Swell to 8300 Megawatts, Grow 20-Fold Over Last Decade

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tech giants, major retailers and other corporate leaders are making significant investments in clean energy and installed over 1,280 megawatts (MW) of new commercial solar capacity in the United States in 2019, the second largest year on record according to the latest Solar Means Business report. The annual report, released today by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), tracks both on-site and off-site installations and highlights the strong appeal of cost-saving solar energy for American businesses.

Target has grabbed the top spot among American businesses that are going solar. The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) revealed Target’s ascension to the top of the list in its 2016 Solar Means Business report, issued today, which found that more American businesses are installing solar than ever before.

New report finds more American businesses are installing solar than ever before

Growth in the use of solar energy has surged 183 percent among America’s top companies in the four years since the first Solar Means Business report was published. The study released today by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) also shows a 59 percent growth in solar installations since just last year.

Solar Means Business 2015: Top U.S. Corporate Solar Users

More of America’s businesses are choosing to install solar than ever before. Walmart once again took the top spot among America’s businesses in the electric generation capacity of its solar investments and number of solar projects. The big box retailer, based in Bentonville, Ark., boasts a robust 142 megawatts (MW) of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity and has completed 348 installations.
