Now living in DC, Clare is a true Marylander born and raised, and recently graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy, and a concentration in Culture & the Environment. Recently, she spent two sessions, Summer and Fall, as a Technical Services intern at SEIA and is excited to now be a full-time member of the team as a Sustainability Program Analyst.

As SEIA’s Director of Standards Development, Jennifer creates and publishes certification standards, best practices, and guidelines for the solar and energy storage industries. These efforts are designed to demonstrate that solar equipment has been ethically, sustainably, and responsibly sourced, manufactured, transported, installed, operated, decommissioned, and recycled with a level of quality that ensures its service life in a manner that reflects the values of the clean energy economy.

Robert Nicholson

Robert Nicholson spent the first 15 years of his career in the commercial nuclear industry managing environmental programs with a specific focus on waste recycling and ISO 14001 system development at facilities across the US. In 2003, he founded Uniwaste Services Corp, a specialized recycling company that specifically managed mercury and lead containing devices, including cathode ray tubes. He developed a collection infrastructure throughout the United States which was utilized by major OEMs.

Stephen Pope

As the SolarAPP+ Outreach Manager at the Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA), Steve leads SolarAPP+ awareness building and education efforts with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s) and solar installers and contractors nationally.  As the U.S.’s national, expedited solar permitting platform, SolarAPP+ is a U.S. Department of Energy developed, no-cost software platform, led by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) with industry support and collaboration, that automates rooftop solar permitting for local jurisdictions.
