Alternus Energy is an Irish incorporated company led by Chairman and CEO, Vincent Browne. Alternus Energy began operations in 2016 with the acquisition of two Romanian solar PV parks with a total capacity of 6.1 megawatt peak (MWp). The current portfolio consists of 24 solar parks across Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Romania and Poland, producing more than 130 MWp of clean energy. Alternus Energy works closely with local and international specialist development partners providing a constant pipeline of new projects for acquisition and construction. Alternus Energy aims to own and operate over 3.5 GWs of solar parks by the end of 2025 and to become one of the largest pan-European IPPs by the end of the decade.
