This webinar will cover structural-related updates to the 2018 International Building Code (IBC), 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), and referenced structural standard ASCE 7-16; these requirements went into effect this past January and may soon or have been adopted in many jurisdictions. We will introduce PV-specific structural example problems outlined in the new SEAOC Wind Design Manual and demonstrate how to use the provisions in ASCE 7-16. We’ll review related design considerations for structural testing of products & systems, and resilience for design in areas of high snow and/or wind loads.
