Clean Energy Improvements in Rural and Remote Communities

Event Detail

Join the Solar Energy Industries Association on February 2, 2023 to learn about the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstration’s new Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas (ERA) Program.

The 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law allocated $1 billion to improve energy systems in rural or remote areas of the country with fewer than 10,000 people, and DOE’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) is seeking input as it shapes this new ERA program in preparation for future funding opportunity announcements.

OCED is interested in hearing about how demonstration projects will improve the resilience, safety, reliability, availability, and environmental performance of rural and remote energy systems throughout the country. This webinar is an opportunity to hear about energy challenges and the types of projects that can improve rural or remote energy systems.

This webinar will:

  1. Provide a detailed overview of OCED and the ERA program to SEIA
  2. Collect feedback on drivers, challenges, and potential impacts of demonstrations

Cost: Free for SEIA members, $95 for nonmembers
