Solar Quality Assurance

Share

In order to increase investor confidence and long-term viability of solar systems, establishing best practices for PV system installation and operation is paramount. SEIA's Quality Assurance Working Group is reviewing and will update guiding documents to ensure that solar installations and maintenance procedures are held to the highest possible standard.

Installation Best Practices Guide for Residential Portfolios

SEIA’s Quality Assurance Working Group has updated the 2015 NREL guide created by the Solar Access to Public Capital (SAPC) Working Group.  Our new document provides technical and financial practice guidance to improve solar asset transparency for investors and rating agencies, provide an industry framework for quality management, and reduce transaction costs in the solar asset securitization process.

Installation Best Practices Guide for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Portfolios

The original NREL Best Practices in C&I PV System Installation Guide is designed to standardize and improve solar asset transparency for investors and rating agencies, provide an industry framework for quality management, and reduce transaction costs in the solar asset securitization process. SEIA’s Quality Assurance Working Group plans to review and update the prior NREL guide as our next initiative and publish it as The Installation Best Practices Guide for Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Portfolios.  If you are interested in joining this work, please contact the Membership team to join SEIA and contribute your expertise
