What is the best method for submitting my application?
We prefer that you submit your application materials (resume, cover letter and brief writing sample) to firstname.lastname@example.org and use the position title in the subject line.
I submitted my application. What happens next?
Your application will be forwarded to the recruiter handling the position you applied for. The recruiter will contact you for an interview if your qualifications match the opening.
I'd like to apply for more than one position. Should I submit my application more than once?

When will I hear back from SEIA after I submit my application?
Due to the large volume of applications submitted to the SEIA Internship Program, we are not able to confirm receipt of your application. You will be contacted only if we wish to schedule you for an interview.
How will I know if a position has been filled?
Interviewees who are not selected for the internship program will receive a telephone call, e-mail, or a letter when the job is filled. Every effort is made to remove internship positions from the SEIA website and other websites as soon as the position is filled.
Is the Solar Energy Industries Association Internship a paid position?
Yes, SEIA offers minimum wage for our internships.
Is housing provided?
No. Applicants must arrange for their own housing. Applicants are encouraged to contact educational and other non-profit organizations to apply for housing assistance. Applicants may also contact local schools for housing opportunities.
SEIA is in partnership with, WISH (Washington Intern Student Housing) which offers intern-only, fully furnished buildings on Capitol Hill and the Woodley Park neighborhood. All locations are near a metro stop, have Wi-Fi, free laundry, and 24-hour emergency service. All SEIA interns receive a 10% discount. www.internsdc.com.
Do you have to be a U.S. citizen to apply?
No. Applicants who are not U.S. citizens will need to provide the necessary VISA paperwork.
Is the start date of your program flexible in the event of a conflicting academic or work schedule?
Yes, we can be flexible with start and end dates.
