Position Summary

The Manager of Industry Services is a new position with SEIA. As SEIA looks to expand its suite of member benefits and seeks to implement new revenue generating programs, the Manager of Industry Services will be charged with creating plans and implementing the programs to get these new products and services in the hands of SEIA’s members. This is a project management position and will require an individual who is able to take the framework of benefit ideas that have already been created and vetted with members and turn them into executable programs. This is not an idea generating position; it is an idea implementation position.

This position requires excellent project management and time management skills. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience with taking programs from ideas to successful implementation. Specifically, experience with launching certification, accreditation and affinity programs will be a plus. This position will work closely with the Chief Business Officer, VP of Member Experience and the Senior Manager of Marketing to prioritize the implementation of new member benefit offerings.

This position requires a team player who is willing to work independently across several departments and be accountable to aggressive timelines and strict milestone deliverables.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create plans to move member benefit and industry service ideas from idea to implementation.
  • Construct project plans, in collaboration with both internal staff and external stakeholders and drive these plans toward completion.
  • Work collaboratively across all departments of SEIA. New product and program ideas may come from any department and this position must be able to quickly assess how those products can be incorporated into other offerings and deployed.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop a launch strategies for new products.
  • Meet routinely with the membership team to gather input and feedback on member needs and member experience.
  • Provide frequent updates on implementation milestones achieved and quickly identify when additional resources may be needed.

Professional Experience, Education & Other Qualifications

  • Given the independent nature of this position, a strong entrepreneurial spirit and work style are necessary. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have experience working independently and achieving tangible program deployment outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Time management skills and the ability to work under time pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service mentality with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to travel to 3 – 5 industry events or committee meetings per year.
  • A team ethos and desire to work across multiple departments to accomplish goals.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for relevant coursework or related experience
