BOSTON, MA – Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick will give the keynote address Monday at 4 p.m. during the general session of PV America 2014.

PV America, which will be held June 23-25 in Boston and is hosted by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA), brings together more than 3,000 power players in the solar industry for exhibits and educational sessions and will showcase an exhibit floor representing more than 100 companies who will be displaying new technology to facilitate PV solar solutions.

Tony Clifford, CEO of Standard Solar, and John Macomber, Harvard Business School professor, will also speak at the general session, discussing innovation, market strategies and the importance of the industry and its growth nationally.

SEIA president and CEO Rhone Resch, who will be available for interviews following the general session on Monday, said the three-day event highlights the progress being made by the solar energy industry:

“The most recent market analysis by GTM Research and SEIA shows the U.S. market installed 1,330 MW of solar PV in the first quarter of this year – a whopping 79 percent increase over the first three  months of 2013 – helping to make solar the fastest-growing source of renewable energy in the United States.  PV America is a showcase for the innovation and technology that is driving this amazing growth.”
