WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following is a statement from Abigail Ross Hopper, president and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA):

“Chair Phillips has been a strong leader at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and is the right choice to lead the agency at this critical moment for America’s energy economy. FERC is considering several reforms that directly impact the solar and storage industry. America’s energy markets need reforms that allow the solar and storage industry to deploy the clean energy projects we need to tackle climate change. SEIA appreciates the leadership and expertise that Chair Phillips has brought to FERC during his tenure. I am confident that he will continue to effectively guide the Commission’s work to enact regulations that strengthen competition, equity, and our nation’s energy security.”
