Jen Bristol is the senior director of communications for the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), where she leads external communications and specializes in strategic communications. Jen oversees media engagement, announcement strategy, and message development and helps to create and implement communication campaigns for SEIA's research products and advocacy efforts.
Before joining SEIA, Jen supported the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office for nearly four years. There, she provided communications support for the office and led its awardee engagement efforts, editorial calendar, web presence, and special communication projects and events. Prior to supporting the U.S. Department of Energy, Jen worked at the GW Solar Institute where she was responsible for managing the Institute’s public affairs portfolio and office operations. Jen also managed event logistics and client relations for The Washington Campus’ executive MBA residency program.
Jen is passionate about public service and was elected to be an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in the U St and Columbia Heights neighborhoods in Washington, DC in 2016 and again in 2018.
Jen is originally from Stony Brook, NY and has a master's degree in public administration from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.
