Melissa Alfano is SEIA’s Senior Director of Energy Markets and Counsel.  She represents SEIA regarding energy matters of importance to the solar industry before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Regional Transmission Organizations. Before joining SEIA, Melissa represented public power utilities before FERC and served two years on FERC staff. 

Melissa holds a B.S. in economics from James Madison University and a J.D. from George Mason University. She resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and two children.
