Austin Energy Lowers Solar Rebate

Austin Energy has dropped the cost for residential solar installations from $2.50 per watt to $2 due to changing market conditions, officials said Monday.

The rebate change, which takes effect immediately, will amount to $12,402 in rebates for a typical 5 kilowatt installation, or about half of the estimated $25,000 for the system.
