SEIA Offers Industry Proposal to End U.S-China Solar Dispute

With no end in sight to the ongoing solar trade dispute between the United States and China, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) is offering an industry compromise between the U.S. and Chinese solar industries, which could serve as the centerpiece for a fair, negotiated settlement of outstanding issues, benefit end users, and encourage the proliferation of solar energy in the United States and globally.

SEIA & COSEIA Statement on Colorado PUC Dismissal of Appeal to Revise XCEL Energy’s Renewable Energy Plan

COLORADO—Today the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC) dismissed an appeal submitted by the Solar Energy Industries Association® (SEIA®) and the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA) regarding Xcel Energy’s renewable energy compliance plan.  The appeal included two requested changes to Xcel’s 2012-2013 Compliance Plan that would have improved the business climate for Colorado solar businesses, which employ more than 6,000 people in the state.

SEIA Files Petition on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Interconnection Standards

WASHINGTON - The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) submitted a petition today requesting a rulemaking to update Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) interconnection standards for small photovoltaic generation. The filing targets certain provisions of the "Standardization of Small Generator Interconnection Agreements and Procedures" or "Order No. 2006," which was established in 2005.
