DEIJ Workshops and Events at RE+

GRID Alternatives is teaming up with Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) and RE+ Events to provide a dedicated space for jobseekers and solar companies to connect! Attendees of the RE+ Job Fair will include clean energy professionals seeking new career opportunities, RE+ Conference attendees, students of job training organizations, community colleges and universities, and residents of the Las Vegas area who are looking to start or advance their clean energy careers. 

The solar and clean energy industries are seeing a surge in demand for expertise on how to implement and comply with the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)’s labor provisions. In order to receive full value of the 30% tax credit for solar and clean energy projects above 1 MW in size, projects must meet the IRA’s prevailing wage and registered apprenticeship program requirements.

This workshop is designed to equip HR managers, training & development managers, apprenticeship managers, payroll managers, and others involved in their companies’ workforce development initiatives with the practical knowledge and tools their companies need to implement prevailing wage and registered apprenticeship programs.

There will be six Community Gatherings for each of the following communities that will be available to all RE+ attendees:

• Hispanics in Clean Energy
• Indigenous Professionals in Clean Energy
• Clean Energy Pride
• Military Veterans & Family Members in Clean Energy
