Position Summary

SEIA is the leading trade association for the solar and storage industry in the U.S. The content team works to maintain a strong, professional face for the organization, a critical element to achieving our goals for the industry and supporting our member companies. The Graphic Design and Content Intern will assist the Digital Media Manager in developing collateral that supports SEIA’s mission. Responsibilities include designing graphics, factsheets, reports and other collateral, as well as maintaining the SEIA website and additional web properties. The intern will have the opportunity to work across various departments to help fulfill their content needs, gaining experience in clean energy, branding, and digital media. Ideal candidate will be available 20-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the design of graphics for the SEIA website, social media, events and other needs
  • Photography at SEIA events and off-site solar projects, companies or facilities
  • Working with Digital Media Manager to improve SEIA’s main brand and sub-brands
  • Edit and update website content on SEIA’s various web properties
  • Create marketing materials and assist marketing team in developing promotional schedules for SEIA’s premiere events

Requirements:

  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite required (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Video editing knowledge preferred but not required (After effects, Premiere Pro, Audition)
  • Experience in (or ability to quickly learn) digital platforms like Drupal, Salesforce, Eventbrite, and more
  • Creative thinking
  • Strong communicator
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to time-manage
  • Attention to detail
  • Interest in clean energy/environment a plus

Academic Majors: Candidates seeking a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, strategic communications, web development, digital arts are preferred, but all majors are encouraged to apply

Working Conditions

  • Work is in an office environment

Compensation

  • $18 per hour
