Study: Solar Impasse Costing Massachusetts Hundreds of Millions in Lost Revenue, Investment

Inaction on raising net metering caps and reforming the Commonwealth’s Solar Renewable Energy Credit (SREC) program has stopped construction of more than 500 solar projects valued at $617 million, which is costing cities and towns $3.2 million in annual tax revenues, according to analysis conducted by Vote Solar and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).

SEIA Forms New Committee Dedicated to PV Mounting System Manufacturers

The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) today announced the formation of the PV Mounting System Manufacturers Committee (MSMC). This committee will work with other SEIA members to ensure the industry is working together to advance solar products, services and policies. SEIA Statement on Nevada PUC Decision

  WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Nevada Public Utilities Commission (PUC) decided to implement drastic changes that will not grandfather in the state's existing solar customer. This decision is at odds with public comments by all outside parties and the majority of customers who supported keeping in tact existing net metering rules.
