Brief project description: The owner of this brewery uses a lot of hot water in the beer making process. A shw system was installed to preheat the water thus saving a large amount of energy needed to heat the water for the brewing process. 2 existing boilers are used for backup water heating. Installation started on feb 15 and the system was commissioned on march 1 2011. The owner was able to receive a 30% federal tax credit along with a state of new York cash rebate which lowered the system cost by approx. 45%.
End user quote: “the system works great. Not only are we doing our part in protecting the environment, but we’re saving money at the same time. I love it!” – bob smith, bob’s brewery and pub
