Hundreds of clean energy companies sent a letter calling on Congress and the administration to stay at the negotiating table and pass a budget reconciliation package with strong investments in America's clean energy future.

Earlier this year the U.S. Energy Information Administration issued a proposal to update the Electric Power and Renewable Electricity Surveys, forms used to collect information on utility-scale, distributed solar projects, and utility operations.

On July 12, 2022, hundreds of companies across the clean energy industry in the U.S. sent a clear message to lawmakers: pass a reconciliation bill without delay that invests in America's clean energy future. 

Companies with diverse ownership work in every aspect and vertical within the solar industry, from manufacturers and project developers, to installers and financiers. To strengthen the DEIJ in the solar and storage industry, SEIA launched the Diverse Suppliers Database last year to connect buyers throughout the supply chain with diverse-owned businesses.

Negotiations are heating up in Congress to finalize a budget reconciliation bill that could include historic policies for the solar and storage industries, including a long-term extension of the solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC), major investments in U.S. solar manufacturing and workforce development, and new standalone tax credits for energy storage.
